Over and Contrast Photos

I bought an infra-red remote from ebay so now i can take shots without having to push the button of the camera. Making it wobble. Also an excuse to include myself in photos. Would be nice to have a log of my ever changing hair.

So the first picture was very bright anyway, but exhadurating the exposure on iphoto creates an almost dream like photo.

Next the black and white photograph, again done in iphoto. A normal photo with no saturation, and a play about with the black grey and white level settings. The detail of the face, skin and hair works really well against the lightly detailed wallpaper background. If I took the photo of me in front of lots of brambles / tree branches. The picture would be too busy and cluttered. There is the ability of blurring the background in that situation, but it loses the touch with reality. As shown with the picture I took of a male pheasant. Beautiful picture, but too busy. Trying to save it just makes it worse. Perhaps the only best thing to do is crop the picture down to the subject.

Jade Connolly – Music Video and Promo Photo Edits

Its here! Jades music video for her song cover of 'In The Sun'. Had fun filming it but more importantly learnt a lot through creating and developing it. We used Jades Nikon SLR camera for recording the footage which gave us such beautiful video quality! Though the internet version doesn't have the same quality. I am now really interested in getting a better quality SLR! I will save up for one, once I start earning money.

Jade Connolly - In The Sun from Ashton Bowron on Vimeo.

Also took and edited a few photos the same day we edited the video, they all follow a separate style as I'm wanting to practise a range of graphical looks, but otherwise had fun all the same! Hope you enjoy and dont be afraid to leave a message!

Jade – Photography and Editing

Had a spur of the moment last night and went for a photo shoot with Jade! She wanted to get some photos with a grudge/edgy look in mind. So I've edited a few of the photos to try and achieve this. Hope you enjoy!

German Shepherd in Wales – Photography and Editing

Two new photos of my dog, I've taken these two whilst I was on holiday. If I said these where two differnt german shepherds odds are many people would agree, but they are just two different perspectives of the same animal which I think is interesting! (Looking gnarly in one photo then looking 'teddyfied' in the next.) There is also a great difference in the size of his ears; looking average in the first photo and then bat like in the next. We will see what other types of photos I can capture in the future!

Dog Walk at Roanhead – Photography and Editing

Yesterday, thanks to my Dads mate, I had my Canon freshly charged. Took it to Roanhead beach to take photos of mine and my family's dogs. Was a great few hours even though it was slightly overcast.

I'm not 100% with editing the settings of the SLR perfectly but with a little bit of digital editing using Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS5 I made the pictures clearer.

St Bernard’s Prom 2011 – Photography and Photo Editing

My little sisters prom was this year! I managed to take a couple of photos with my Canon EOS 300d (old). I love the quality of the photos I can get with that camera.

NCS Local Talent Show – Leaflet and Poster Design

For this years National Citizen Service this summer, the group have to organise a talent show. So I was asked if I wanted to help out and design two leaflet/posters they will use to advertise the auditions event and talent show event.

The design brief asked that the colours purple, black and white where used and that all the information about the event to be featured. From there I illustrated the rest of the design using Adobe Photoshop CS5. I added purples complimentary colour and the
